Description

Silicate glue is a type of mineral glue that consists of silicate chemical compounds and is used in various types of industrial and construction.

Chemical formula: Silicate glue usually includes silicate compounds, whose exact formula may vary depending on the type and composition of raw materials. One of the well-known examples, sodium silicate, which has the formula Na₂SiO₃, is used as the main ingredient in the production of silicate glue.

Other names:

– Liquid sodium silicate

– glass water

– Sodium silicate glue

chemical properties:

– Heat resistance: Silicate glue has good heat resistance and can usually be used at high temperatures.

– Chemical resistance: This glue is resistant to many chemicals, including acids and bases.

– Connecting different surfaces: Silicate glue can well stick different surfaces together.

Method of production:

The production of silicate glue usually starts from silicate compounds such as sodium silicate as the main material. The production steps of silicate glue are:

a. Preparation of raw materials:
Preparation of sodium silicate as the main material that will be used as the base of silicate glue.

b. Powder production:
Sodium silicate is turned into powder along with other additives.

J. Mixing and adding water:
The produced powder is mixed with water to form a solution.

d. Gelation process:
This solution turns into a gel over time.

e. Drying process:
The gel dries long enough to become the final silicate glue.

And. packing:
Silicate glue produced in liquid or powder form is placed in suitable packaging.

Silicate glue is used in various industries such as construction, wood, paper, and metals due to its adhesive properties, chemical resistance, and good mechanical strength.
