Description

Sodium humate is a chemical compound that is used in many industries, especially in the textile and leather industries.

Chemical formula of sodium humate: Sodium humate is represented and known by the chemical formula NaC₂H₃O₂. This formula indicates the presence of one sodium atom (Na) and two acetate molecules (C₂H₃O₂) in each chemical unit.

Other names of sodium humate:

– Sodium acetate
– Sodium ethylene carbonate
– Sodium humate
– Sodium ethanoate

Method of production:

The production of sodium humate is usually done through the reaction of sodium carbonate (Na₂CO₃) with acetic acid (CH₃COOH). The production steps of this material are as follows:

a. Reaction: Na₂CO₃ + 2CH₃COOH >> rightarrow 2NaC₂H₃O₂ + CO₂ + H₂O

b. Separation: After the reaction, the resulting solution is separated to separate from the solid particles.

J. Evaporation: The separated solution gradually evaporates to become a solid state.

d. Crushing and packaging: The pure material produced is crushed into smaller pieces and then placed in suitable packages to preserve its properties and quality.

Sodium humate is used as a pH regulator, mixing agent, and stabilizer in various industrial processes, especially in the textile and leather industries.
